COLOURLESS IMAGE by Jamiu Ahmed

COLOURLESS IMAGE

To live under a partitioned roof
Is to detach a shadow from its body

To speak a different language
Is to cut a tongue into two halves

To live as an alien on this earth
Is to butchered a body into pieces

Now, try to attach the pieces
Would you be whole again?

The earth; a cave with many rooms
But big enough to contain all bones

Colour is a wall; dividing us apart
Just like the Great Wall of China

Open the mind eyes, no wall is greater
than the inner chambers of the heart

Where everyone stands separately
Holding the fragment of themselves

The heart; a gallery of colourful memories
Where every color is a light dispersed

From a prism of three-dimensional image
But true hue shows in a black & white world

We should all have color-blinded eyes
Like a bat flying in a moonless night

Where every object appears to be pale
& everyone becomes a colourless image
