WHAT'S A BOY? by Jamiu Ahmed

WHAT'S A BOY?

A boy isn't the definition of a brass, iron rod, steel, or any other strong metals you can juxtapose with, by allowing him to pass through a blasting furnace just to test his tensile strength. For hell sake! life is not a structural building class.

A boy isn't a rock you have to constantly hit with metal and you expect not to break down into particles. Even the rock Moses hit with his rod shed tears to show how painful it's. To cry isn't of humans alone, the sky also shares part of these tears too. So why won't a boy cry out of pain and torment when needed? Or life has become a torture chamber?

A boy isn't a gas compressor that you have to measure his ability with the amount of gas he lives to compress under pressure before you can acknowledge him as a good gas compressor.

A boy isn't a German machine that you expect to work all around like a clock or as a slave till he got tired of living life before you can understand he needs a break.

A boy isn't a dildo that you use to satisfy and gratify your sexual urge when nature calls for flesh. Don't devalue a boy by turning him into a sex tool, he has a lot to offer the world than that.

A boy isn't an emotionless robot that you expect not to show any sign of human or react to the pressure exerted upon him by society.

A boy isn't a superhero or magician you are expected to build heaven on earth or turn hell into paradise in the blink of an eye.

A boy isn't a sky that doesn't need any support.

What then is a boy?

A boy is simply a human, just like every other human.

He has his feelings, emotions, doubts, fears and insecurities.

A boy needs your shoulder to lean and cry out his pains.

A boy needs your help, even when he seems strong.

A boy needs your buoy, even when he appears to swim the ocean to the extreme. Just give him your life jacket.

So a boy is a boy and a boy will always be a boy.
