HATRED by Jamiu Ahmed

HATRED

The heart is the home of rusty jewels
With a pungent smell of rotten eggs
That house evil, pride, hatred and anger
Where all fouls from mortals come from

Hatred is a burden to the heart and soul
Yet you vesture it around like your skin
Yet you cloak it about like inherited trait
Can't you feel your heart crying of overload?

How have you gone crazily wild and black?
For you threw dirt on me like a garbage heap
Yet I grew into a fruitful tree of unending love
That blossom in famine to glorify the Lord

How have you gone crazily wild and black?
That my crying blood doesn't fill your evil bowl?
You nailed and crucified me on crescent road
For you hate to see that I manifest the will of God

How have you gone crazily wild and black?
That my life doesn't amount to anything to you
You are blindfolded by greed and narcissism
Yet the sky is massive enough for all birds to fly

How have you gone crazily wild and black?
That I cease to breathe is all what you wished for
That I cross the bridge of death is all you craved
Should I suffocate and die when it is not my time?

How have you gone crazily wild and black?
That you can't hear the silent tears of my crying heart
That you no longer feel the pulse of your own veins
You have forgotten karma is real and fast approaching.
